The Chandler Center for the Arts recently announced two single shows scheduled for this fall, with tickets now available for both.

The 1970s and 80 pop music star Billy Ocean will appear as Thursday Oct. 3 on the Steena Murray Mainstage at 7 pm. Tickets are $56, $66, $76 and $86.

Comedian Leslie Jones will appear Saturday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 pm as part of her national tour. Tickets are $48, $58, $68 and $78.

Tickets are available at chandlercenter.org or by calling 480-782-2680.

Considered one of Britain’s most successful Black solo artists, Billy Ocean is a Grammy-winning multi-platinum-selling musician, selling more than 30 million records in his lifetime.

Probably best known for his smooth voice and 1984 hit Caribbean Queen,” fans probably know hit other hits — “Loverboy,” “There’ll Be Sad Songs (To Make You Cry),” “When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going” and “Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car” — nearly as well.

Jones, known best for her work on Saturday Night Live and The Daily Show, will bring a performance that includes mature content and may not be suitable for all audiences.

Jones has earned nominations for three Primetime Emmy Awards, the Writer’s Guild and the NAACP Awards. She was part of the cast for season two of the HBO Max series Our Flag Means Death and last year, she released the book, “Leslie F*cking Jones.”

This summer, Jones will join NBC in Paris for the 2024 Olympics as the “chief super fan commentator” for the games.

In 2021, she starred opposite Eddie Murphy in Coming 2 America for which she won an MTV Movie Award and was nominated for a People’s Choice Award.

Jones will next produce an untitled Christmas comedy for Lionsgate which she is currently developing as a potential future starring role.

The Chandler Center for the Arts is located just north of Downtown Chandler and has a full calendar of performances and exhibitions. For more information about programs, performances and exhibitions, visit chandlercenter.org.
