Achiote tacos, burritos and more in north Chandler

Posted

Achiote Latin Cuisine has opened at Chandler Commons — the shopping center on the southwest corner of Cooper and Ray roads in northeast Chandler.

The Latin American eatery is family-run and doesn't have an especially vast menu, but plans to expand it soon. It's the same family known for the Saguaros Tacos Y Churros food truck business.

It's in the spot formerly occupied by DEZ Burrito, next to Two Hands Fresh Corn Dogs.

Classic tacos, breakfast burritos and ‘‘Don Achiote tacos,’’ or fried cheese on a tortilla with a choice of carne asada, al pastor, or chicken, are the main items for now.

The hours are  11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays. Find Achiote online at achiotelatincuisine.com or call 480-224-6926.
