Soroptimist International of the East Valley celebrates 53 years of serving the community

Posted

Join us 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at the Gold Canyon Community Center, 6021 S. Kings Ranch Road Suite No. 5 as we celebrate the 53rd anniversary of Soroptimist International of the East Valley.

Since its formation in 1971, originally known as Soroptimist International of Apache Junction, our club has made a lasting impact on the lives of women and girls in our community. Over the decades, we have been committed to empowering women through education, scholarships, and mentorship programs such as the Dream It, Be It initiative, designed to inspire and guide young women in achieving their dreams.

This special evening will bring together current and past members, community supporters and those who have been touched by our mission. As we reflect on more than five decades of service, we will also look ahead to the bright future of continuing to uplift and support women in our area.

We look forward to an inspiring night of celebration, connection and honoring the accomplishments of the incredible women who have helped make this organization what it is today. Appetizers will be served and door prizes and raffles will be drawn.

Soroptimist is a nonprofit volunteer organization that has clubs worldwide. The local East Valley chapter encompasses cities and towns from Tempe to the eastern state line.

Our mission is to provide women and girls with access to education and the training they need to achieve their economic goals and social empowerment. We achieve this through our dream programs: the Live Your Dream Award which provides funds to head-of-household women enrolled in a vocational or secondary education course of study and Dream It. Be It. Career Planning for Girls.

We are a dynamic group of women supporting women in our community. If you would like to learn more about us and/or would like to join, contact us at SIEastValley@soroptimist.net or leave a message at 928-719-779. Donations can be accepted at https://siev.betterworld.org.
