Posted

The Apache Junction Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a free mad science event in September.

It will be 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, at the multi-generational center, 1035 N. Idaho Road in Apache Junction.

“Grab your lab coat because it’s going to get messy. Explore all types of fun science projects!. Come and check out over 30 different experiments to watch, touch and experience,” a release states.

The event features a watermelon explosion, an egg drop contest and much more. Mad science is free to attend and geared toward younger kids and teens, but all ages are welcome. The event page and updates can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1002389571333729
