Arts nonprofits, cultural groups and artist collectives can now apply for Tempe’s Community Art Grants Program.

The deadline to apply is Monday, July 1 for projects that will take place in Tempe between Sept. 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025, a city release stated.

Tempe is committed to providing opportunities for arts and culture projects by offering grant programs for nonprofit organizations, artist collectives and cultural groups, the release explained. The Community Arts Grants Program supports a commitment to advancing Tempe as a vibrant and progressive community for cultural and artistic activity.

Wavemaker Arts Grants up to $10,000 are available to nonprofit organizations providing arts programming in Tempe (501c3 status required). A match is not required, and the project structures may include performances, residencies or festivals, according to the release.

Vibrant City Arts Grants up to $2,500 are available to artist collectives, cultural groups or arts nonprofit organizations providing arts programming in Tempe. Like the Wavemaker Arts Grants, a match is not required and project structures may include the same mediums.

Before submitting, all applicants will need to meet virtually with Community Arts Manager Maja Aurora. Schedule a call with Aurora here.

Grant applications can be found here.
