WWII veterans turns 100 in Sun City West

Colin Primrose celebrated his 100th birthday July 24. He is a World War II veteran who retired from Alcoa and built a home in Sun City West in 1988. He has been an active community supporter as a member of the Sheriff’s Posse, Scott’s Club and the Sun City West golf courses. Primrose also held leadership positions in the Masons, Shriners and served as Exalted Leader of the Elks.

His many golf accomplishments include multiple hole-in-ones, top finishes in octogenarian events and traveling the country playing with family and friends. His opponents feared his straight tee shots. At age 99 he retired from golf.

During WWII he served as a gunner on the Easter Front flying with a PBY crew searching. His lives with his wife Donna, who is 95. His children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends and golfing buddies will be celebrating his birthday at home in Sun City West.
