Sun City West Republican club sets meeting, speakers

The Sun City West Republican Club will meet Saturday, April 6, at Church on the Green, 19051 R.H. Johnson Blvd.

Social time is at 8:30 a.m. with coffee and donuts available, and the meeting starts at 9 a.m. Doors open at 8 a.m.

Paid-up members are admitted without a donation; a $3 fee will be accepted at the door from non-members, which helps to pay for the room rental.

As 2024 is an election year, the Republican Club meetings provide an opportunity to meet candidates personally before the primary in late July and the general election in November.

This month there will be three main speakers: Rachel Walden and Lea Marquez Peterson are running for two of three open positions on the Arizona Corporation Commission, which sets utility rates in Sun City West, among other responsibilities; and Dr. Robert Branch is a candidate for Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, District 4, which includes Sun City West.

All Republicans and Independents from the Sun Cities and surrounding areas are welcome.
