Sun City church slates meal, program schedule

Lakeview United Methodist Church, 10298 W. Thunderbird Blvd., has announced the meals and programs for its meal/fellowship program of TNT (Thursday Nights Together) for April. Meals begin at 5 p.m. in Smoot Hall and consist of salad bar, entree, dessert and beverage (iced water, lemonade, iced tea, coffee). After the meals, there may be a program or a guest speaker.
The meals are prepared by chef Larnell Benton and cost $8 per person for each meal. Reservations must be made by 4 p.m. the Tuesday before the event. For reservations or further information, contact the church office at 623-974-5821, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
Thursday, April 4: The meal will be pork chops with onion gravy, rolls, cornbread stuffing and green beans. There will be a concert from Grand Canyon University Critical Mass, a traveling vocal ensemble singing a variety of selections from renaissance, contemporary choral music, gospel, jazz, a capella, pop and Broadway. It will be 6:30 p.m. in the Worship Center. No reservations need to be made for the concert; however, a free-will offering will be accepted.
Thursday, April 11: The meal will be stuffed shells, roasted vegetables and garlic bread.
Thursday, April 18: The meal will be Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. For this meal, only pre-ticket sales will be accepted and they are $10 per person. The meal begins at 4:30 p.m. It will be a special dinner honoring and thanking Pastor Linda De Atley for her 10 years of ministry service to Lakeview.
Thursday, April 25: The meal will be ham with pineapple/mustard sauce, sweet potatoes, asparagus and rolls.
