Today, we celebrate the life and love of Audrey Jean Powell, a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She departed this world at age 92. She was born in Slayton, Mn May 16, 1932. She was one of nine children. Her family owned and operated a small bakery in Slayton where she began work at the age of 12. This is where she would meet her future husband at fourteen years old named Richard Dean Powell who was four years her senior. At age sixteen, she would be married. They have three surviving children; Gary, Debbie and Ron. Audrey loved spending time with her daughter, Debbie, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. She was an avid cook and enjoyed feeding everyone. She also enjoyed being outside whether it was taking walks or simply watching the hummingbirds from her back patio. There will not be any funeral service as she would only want everyone to be happy. Only celebrate in your own way.
