The primary care provider serves a critical role and is often the first step to receiving medical treatment. CenterWell doctors are empowered with the ability to sit down with their patients and have a conversation. Longer appointment times help the doctor to understand what brought you in that day AND what else may be affecting your health. Doctors have time to review patient records and meet with the care team in advance of an appointment, and this plus longer appointment times allow the patient and doctor to build a stronger, more trusting relationship.

This can be life-changing. One of our CenterWell doctors made it his missions to convince a patient, a lifelong smoker, to undergo lung cancer screening. He and the care team eased her concerns about increased bills and costs, and tests identified cancer in an early, treatable stage.
