Posted

Ethan Zimmerman of Apache Junction will be among the 217 undergraduates to be honored at 10 a.m. May 6 in the Chicoine Center at Chadron (Nebraska) State College. Zimmerman is a candidate for a bachelor of arts degree.

Moments of reflection will be offered by Jace Demeranville of Gering, Nebraska, who completed a cross-country bike ride for a CSC course with Dr. Kurt Kinbacher; and Jaqueline Buhr, a master’s degree recipient, who is a staff member with Project Strive TRiO. ROTC cadet Chase Mestas of Colorado Springs, Colorado, will be commissioned into the Army during the ceremony.

The commencement speaker is Chadron State College alum and Chadron High School history and civics teacher Michael Sandstrom. Sandstrom, a Chadron native, has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from CSC. He also has a master’s degree in American history from Pace University.

Chadron State College, which was founded in 1911, is a four-year, regionally-accredited college. More than 2,000 undergraduate, graduate and online students attend Chadron State. Go to csc.edu.
