YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix, located in Glendale, is accepting nominations for its annual Tribute to Leadership Awards Program.

The celebration acknowledges achievements of local community leaders. These individuals are committed to enhancing the lives of women, girls, and people of color through unwavering dedication to leadership, advocacy, and community service.

Since 1994, YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix has honored 264 extraordinary individuals.

YWCA of Phoenix began in 1912 and opened its Glendale center in 1972. Today the nonprofit is located at 8561 N. 61st Ave., in Glendale.

Each year, the nonprofit comes together to raise awareness and appreciation for the diverse and invaluable contributions of women leaders in the Valley.

To receive the YWCA Tribute to Leadership Award, honorees embody the mission of YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix: eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. These selected honorees contribute to their communities, set the gold standard for equity in leadership, and transform the Valley into a better place for all to thrive.

Nominations are now open for the 2024 awards.

Submit your nominations for leaders in Phoenix by Thursday, Nov. 30.
