The faith congregations in the Verde Communities are celebrating Holy Week with Christians everywhere from Palm Sunday, March 24, through Easter Sunday, March 31.
Community Church of the Verdes, 25603 Danny Lane, Rio Verde, will hold services on Palm Sunday at 8:30 a.m.
Services on Maundy Thursday, March 28, will be at 7 p.m., with Good Friday service March 29, at 3 p.m.
On Easter Sunday, March 31, there will be a sunrise service in the Garden at 6:30 a.m., with Easter worship service at 8:30 a.m.
St. Dominic’s Catholic Mission also meets at the Danny Lane church location. Palm Sunday Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
Holy Thursday, March 28, Mass will include the washing of feet at 5 p.m. and Adoration in the Chapel at 6 p.m.
On Easter Sunday, March 31, Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.
The Chapel at Reigning Grace Ranch, 28614 N. 172nd St., will have a self-guided prayer walk at 4 p.m. Good Friday, March 29, with a communion/devotional at 6:30 p.m. On Easter Sunday there will be a potluck breakfast at 8 a.m. followed by Sunday service at 9 a.m. An Easter egg hunt will follow services.
