Work week begins with I-10 ramp, 48th Street section closed

Weekend road work will spill over into Monday morning’s commute and continue for several weeks.

The eastbound Interstate 10 off-ramp at 48th Street/SR 143 will be closed for reconfiguration until late fall, state transportation officials said.

The ramp was closed Aug. 9 for work connected to the Broadway Curve improvement project, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Drivers should consider alternate routes that include the eastbound I-10 exit at Broadway Road, ADOT officials said.

Northbound 48th Street also was closed between Broadway Road and I-10 Friday night and will remain so until September.
