Voting for West Valley Preps’ Girls Athlete of the Year will conclude June 11, with the winner announced June 12.

More than 2,250 votes have been cast online since May 20 for the award.

Only one athlete per school is involved, which is why, for example, girls soccer player of the year Ari Jimenez from Centennial is not included.

The 10 athletes up for the award are:
• Emily Henderson, Ironwood (basketball)

• Kara Spicer, Centennial (volleyball)
• Devyn Marshall, Shadow Ridge (softball)
• Jae’Nisa Heckstall, Kellis (track)
• Taylor Chavez, Valley Vista (basketball)
• Hanna Krosky, Sunrise Mountain (softball)
• Kobe Dunn, Deer Valley (volleyball)
• Danielle Egharevba, Willow Canyon (soccer)
• Alynah Torres, Cactus (softball)
• Delaney Peery, Liberty (soccer)

To vote, visit www.testwp05.tecnavia.com/yourvalley/site and scroll down the right hand side of the main page. Only one vote is allowed per device.

Voting for the West Valley Preps Boys Athlete will begin Monday, June 12 and will continue through the end of the month.
