The Parsons Dance company will perform 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at Wickenburg’s Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts, 1090 S. Vulture Mine Road.
Thanks to the support of donors, this evening of dance is free to the general public as a part of the theater’s commitment to making live performing arts accessible and fostering an appreciation for dance in rural Arizona.
As part of their two-week “Made in Wickenburg” artist residency, Parsons Dance has extended a special invitation to dance students from Wild Desert Studios, offering them the unique opportunity to participate in a private rehearsal.
Founded in 1985, Artistic Director David Parsons and the nine-member company is known for its high-energy, athletic and joyous style.
The Nov. 18 program will include newer pieces such as “Mr. Withers” (2022) with music by Bill Withers and “Balance of Power” (2020) as well as repertoire favorites like “Kind of Blue” (2001) with music by Miles Davis and the iconic “Caught” (1982).
