Voter fraud is ‘exhumed’ in Scottsdale, McKee indicted
Posted
A state grand jury recently indicted Tracey Kay McKee, of Scottsdale, on one count of illegal voting and one count of perjury, for allegedly casting a vote in the name of a dead person through an early ballot in the 2020 General Election.
Attorney General for the state of Arizona, Mark Brnovich, recently announced the indictment that alleges McKee signed the name of her deceased mother to an early ballot envelope, according to a press release, stating her mother reportedly died on Oct. 5, 2020.
McKee is accused of signing her dead mother’s name to a declaration made under penalty of perjury on an early ballot envelope on or between Oct. 7, 2020, and Nov. 3, 2020, the release said.
Assistant Attorney General Todd Lawson investigated and is prosecuting the case. McKee’s next court appearance is set for Aug. 11, 2021, in Maricopa County Superior Court. All charged defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty, according to the release.
This case was investigated and prosecuted by the Arizona Attorney General’s Office’s Election Integrity Unit, which along with support from the Arizona Legislature, is noted to combat reports of voter and election-related fraud, the release said.
There are five active election-related criminal cases in Superior Courts statewide, and continues working on criminal and civil complaints made regarding the 2020 election cycle, added the release.
