Verizon users in Phoenix and across the U.S. are dealing with outages that some reports peg at roughly 100,000 customers.

The outage, which Verizon acknowledged on Monday morning, is affecting much of its coverage area throughout the U.S. The outage has left some customers stuck in SOS mode.

The telecommunication's giant said it is aware of the issue and is working to "identify and solve" the problem.

The company did not have a time line for getting those without service up and running.
