The VAI Resort Convention Center will include meeting space when $1 billion hotel opens in 2025

While VAI Resort continues to work toward its expected opening in late 2025, the $1 billion hotel announced a new feature.

The VAI Resort Convention Center will include more than 150,000 square feet of meeting space with 34 customizable room configurations that can accommodate events of any size, from intimate gatherings to large conferences. VAI made the announcement this week.

Last year the 60-acre resort complex added a $40 million live performance stage with more than 11,000 seats, of which the furthest seat will be only 200 feet from the stage. The VAI Amphitheater aims to book two shows per week year-round.

When it opens, the resort will be the biggest in Arizona with 1,100 rooms rounded out by four hotel towers, a two-story nightclub, 12 dining establishments, 10 unique bars, a man-made party island, a 5-acre swimming oasis surrounded by white sand beaches, luxury retail, a Spa and Wellness Center, and the world’s first Mattel Adventure Park.

The project was first announced in June 2020. In early 2022 the project changed owners and its theme focus.
