University Women Northwest Valley Branch takes in Glendale excursion

The American Association of University Women Northwest Valley Branch took in an excursion to the Arizona Doll and Toy Museum in Glendale.

The museum, located at 5847 W. Myrtle Ave., showcases a variety of dolls and toys from yesteryear, including an authentic 1912 schoolroom featuring antique dolls.

The group then went to the The Spicery In Our 1895 Home, 7141 N. 59th Ave., in downtown Glendale for High Tea.

AAUW advances gender equity for women and girls through research and education. The American Association of University Women is the nation's leading voice promoting equity and education for women and girls.

Since its founding in 1881, AAUW members have examined and taken positions on fundamental issues of the day, such as education, social, and economic advocacy through nonpartisan, inclusion and intersectionality.

AAUW provides residents the opportunity to join a circle of women intent on breaking educational and economic barriers to enable women and girls to enjoy success in their community and personal lives.

Membership is open to anyone holding an associate’s degree, bachelor's or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
