MAG extends survey deadline for I-10 corridor study

The Maricopa Association of Governments has extended the deadline for the public to take a survey about potential improvements along the Interstate 10 corridor.
More than 300,000 cars daily travel along Interstate 10 through the Deck Park Tunnel in Phoenix, and state transportation officials are studying ways to improve the stretch of freeway and beyond.
The MAG survey will assist in shaping improvements, according to a release. The deadline has been extended to Dec. 22.
The study area takes in the Deck Park Tunnel to the I-10/I-17 interchange, which also is known as the Split.
The study also includes the areas of the I-10/State Route 51/Loop 202 interchange or Mini-Stack and the north-south portion of I-10 south of the Mini-Stack near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
The study will:
Recommend design elements.
Develop operational strategies.
Establish the framework for potential improvements funded through Proposition 479, which will go before voters in 2024.
