Troopers arrest motorcyclist traveling 150-plus mph on I-10 in Pinal County

Arizona troopers this week tracked down and arrested a motorcyclist officials said has repeatedly traveled at high speeds, including more than 150 mph on the day of his arrest along Interstate 10 in Casa Grande.

Kevin Keeton, 34, of Casa Grande was stopped about 5 a.m. June 7 with the assistance of the Ranger 1 helicopter, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The helicopter crew began following the motorcyclist as he rode eastbound on Florence Boulevard in Casa Grande. Officials said the suspect was seen speeding and illegally passing vehicles on the shoulder before getting onto I-10 westbound at milepost 194.

“Once on the interstate, Ranger 1 crew members observed the suspect traveling at speeds in excess of 150 mph and relayed his speed and location to troopers on the ground,” DPS stated in a release. The suspect was stopped near milepost 190.

He was booked into the Pinal County Jail on a charge of criminal speed, DPS officials said. The motorcycle was impounded for 20 days.
