Suspect arrested, booked on murder counts in 3 Ahwatukee deaths

A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the deaths of three people whose bodies were found after a fire at an Ahwatukee apartment complex.

Chase Christman faces three counts of murder in the deaths of Merissa Honeycutt, 27, Anthony Frederickson-Ceccarelli, 25, and Samuel Lott, 37, Phoenix police said Friday night.

The killings took place in the early morning hours of July 14 at an apartment complex at 13229 S. 48th St., police said. The fire was started a day later.

Christman was arrested July 19 and interviewed.

“He made admissions to being at the apartment but did not admit to committing the homicides,” police stated in a release.

"Christman was linked to the murder through digital and physical evidence obtained from the original crime scene and is an associate of all three victims."

He was booked on three counts of murder and one count of misconduct involving weapons.

The investigation remains active; however, investigators said they believe that Christman was the only suspect involved in the murders.
