The Palo Verde Artists have named Jan Cox as its club photographer.

Cox has always loved photography, so she was excited to find the Camera Guild of Sun City when she arrived for the winter in 2013. She taught beginning photography for several years in that club and took trips to learn more about — and photograph — the many interesting places in Arizona.

In 2023 she joined the Palo Verde Artists Club and will be able to use these photographs to paint some of the scenes with her watercolors. Her first love is to photograph close-ups of animals, trees, birds and flowers, especially the cactus flowers of Arizona. But landscapes are a close second to that.

The Palo Verde Artists club room is located on the second level of Sundial Recreation Center, 14801 N. 103rd Ave. Membership is $10 per year and is open to RCSC cardholders only.
