Sponsorship supports Dysart Community Center

Larry Tabloff, general manager of Toyota of Surprise, 13543 N. Autoshow Ave., presented Annie Ansell, executive director of Dysart Community Center, a sponsorship donation for the new Valley Toyota Dealers STEM Lab at the center in El Mirage, 14414 N. El Mirage Road.

The Dysart Community Center, a 501(c)(3) registered charity, has been serving children, youth and adults since 1962, helping change the cycle of poverty through educational programs. Its mission is to help youth help themselves and become active members of the community at large. Many students return to the center to help the generations that follow.

“We are delighted with this partnership with the Valley Toyota dealers. The amazing Valley Toyota Dealers STEM Lab will make such a difference in the lives of our youths and their families,” said Ansell.

Tabloff was determined to invest in the future of the Valley by inspiring young people to take an interest in STEM subjects to change the course of their lives.

“I believe in access to education, inspiring youths by our experiences and networking to ensure the best possible outcomes for our future generations. Anything is possible when we all work together,” Tabloff said.

Tabloff took this concept to all Valley Toyota dealers who unanimously agreed to support such a project. The Valley Toyota dealers vowed their commitment to ensuring that under-privileged youths throughout the Valley have access to science, technology, engineering and math support.

The Valley Toyota Dealers STEM Lab provides a large classroom for ages 5 to 18 to work on various technical projects, computer access for Girls Who Code, teen leadership, homework access and support, sewing, crafts, science, mathematics and computer aided technology.
