Specialty wine and cheese market opening in Scottsdale
First 100 people in line to receive complimentary champagne for year

Fine wines, international and domestic cheese, and handcrafted items from local purveyors are among the many mainstays at Gastrome Market, a new specialty wine and cheese destination slated to open Labor Day weekend in Scottsdale.
Editor's note: Due to a short shipping delay, Gastrome is now moving the opening date to next week Saturday, Sept. 10.
According to a press release the market doors will open at 10 a.m. and the restaurant at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3 at 7704 E. Doubletree Ranch Road, suite 140. Gastrome Market features indoor and outdoor seating and a classroom in addition to boutique wines, smoked and cured meats and a wide variety of handcrafted items from local artisans.
The first 100 people in line when the market opens will receive a complimentary champagne toast for their table each time they visit for the next year. The limit is one toast per week for up to four guests.
In addition to sampling specialty wines and cheese, Gastrome Market grand opening attendees can meet with some of the vendors about their local products, ranging from fresh baked goods to board-ready charcuterie.
The space holds an abundance of items and experiences including:
3500 square feet market space
Wine alcove with an expert team
Temperature-controlled wine eurocave with over 280 bottles of collected wines
Bakery corner with international and local pastries
Grab-and-go deli counter with fresh items made daily for lunch or dinner
Three-case cheese island displaying international and domestic cheese and cured meats
Restaurant
Gift-basket making stations
“This has been a true labor of love for us, and we can’t wait to get the doors open and meet the community,” co-owner Jenny Le said in the release. “We’ve worked hard to create an inclusive environment where you can feel free to ask whatever you want — you won’t find any stuffiness or intimidation here.”
In addition to the shop itself, Gastrome Market will host classes and instructional seminars on everything from how to pair food and wine to how to build the best charcuterie board.
“Whether you’re in search of something specific or you just want to see what we’re all about, stop by this September and we’ll show you around,” co-owner Tiffany Chavez said in the release. “We’re wine and cheese lovers ourselves, and we’re really passionate about food and drink in general. Our goal is to make you as excited about it as we are, and if we can get you to try something new, even better.”
