“Something’s Afoot,” a musical murder mystery that takes a satirical poke at Agatha Christie mysteries and the musical style of the 1930s English music hall, is the Grand Drama and Comedy Club’s next production.

Shows will run at 7 p.m. Feb. 15 through 17 and Feb. 23 and 24 and at 3 p.m. Feb. 18 and 25 at the Sonoran Plaza Main Stage, 19753 N. Remington Drive.

Ten people are stranded in an isolated English country house during a raging thunderstorm. One by one, they’re picked off by cleverly fiendish devices. As the bodies pile up in the library, the survivors frantically race to uncover the identity and motivation of the cunning culprit.

“Something’s Afoot” premiered in Atlanta in 1972 and was later performed on Broadway in 1976 and London in 1977.

Book, music and lyrics are by James McDonald, David Vos and Robert Gerlach, and additional music is by Ed Linderman.

Performance reserved seating is $20 per person and can be purchased at Granddrama.com, livegrandaz.com or in person at the Grand Activities Desk, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

Tickets may also be available at the theater 30 minutes before show time.

A cash bar will be open an hour prior and theater doors open 30 minutes before show time.
