State transportation officials advise drivers to plan for westbound Interstate 10 to narrow this weekend between US 60 and 40th Street.
The westbound collector-distributor roads will be closed for sign work.
Crews will be on the job from 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, to 4 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
At the same time, the following ramps will be closed:
• The westbound I-10 ramp to northbound SR 143.
• The westbound I-10 off-ramps at Broadway Road and 40th Street.
• The westbound I-10 on-ramp at Baseline Road.
In addition, westbound I-10 will be narrowed to two lanes between 40th and 24th streets from 8 p.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Saturday for a traffic shift.
Drivers traveling west on I-10 heading to Sky Harbor Airport should use westbound I-10 to the 24th Street or Buckeye Road entrances. Drivers traveling west on US 60 heading to the airport should use northbound Loop 101 to westbound Loop 202 and use the 44th Street entrance, ADOT officials said.
