The Scottsdale Police Department is the recipient of two traffic safety grants from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety for Fiscal year 2024.
The Speed Awareness Grant (#2024-PTS-059 totaling $80,000) will allow the Scottsdale Police Department to focus education efforts on the dangers of excessive speed and reckless driving.
The Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Grant (#2024-405g-007 totaling $60,000) will fund education and enforcement efforts related to pedestrian and bicycle safety throughout the city to include the entertainment district.
Ultimately, the funding and awarding of these grants will help the Scottsdale Police Department reach its goal to decrease the number of collisions on roadways and increase community safety.
