Scottsdale Community College will hold an American Indian Program open house, a special event designed to showcase the college’s support systems available to American Indian students.

The open house will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Indigenous Cultural Center, according to a press release. This event is free and open to all current and prospective students interested in learning more about the community and resources available to American Indian students.

Scottsdale Community College is located in the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and the traditional lands of the Onk Akimel O’odham (Pima) and the Xalychidom Piipaash (Maricopa) people. The College is the only non-tribal two-year public higher education institution in the nation whose campus is located on tribal lands. The college offers American Indian Program scholarships for eligible American Indian students and tuition waivers for enrolled Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community members.
