Salazar: Resource to help those who stutter

To the editor of the Daily Independent:

Your article “Chandler speech therapy business celebrates 5-year anniversary” was highly positive.

The speech professionals at Speak Center for Language and Learning are doing a superb job in helping children with so many different speech problems.

Your readers may wish to know that the Stuttering Foundation (www.StutteringHelp.org) website provides many free resources for children and adults. Also, there is a Spanish-language version of the site at www.tartamudez.org for the Hispanic community in the U.S., which also serves so many people who stutter in Latin American countries as well. These sites offer a multitude of free resources that help children.

We are fortunate to live in a country that gives attention to child speech problems because so many children with the various speech problems in third world nations do not receive attention.
