Preview: What to expect from Buckeye's city council meeting

The Buckeye City Council meeting for tonight is slated for a full agenda on items related to infrastructure, developments, and city agreements.

Those looking to attend can go to the City Hall located on 530 E. Monroe Ave. in Buckeye. The meeting will start at 6 p.m.

The city requires anyone looking to comment must first complete a speaker request form and submit it to the city clerk prior to the time of the meeting. 

 Comments are limited to three minutes . If there are numerous speakers for one subject matter, the total time for speakers will be limited to 15 minutes for that subject.

Tonights agenda items will include:

The city is looking to extend an agreement with the Harquahala Valley Landowners, LLC to extend the investiagtion period  and groundwater transportation condition satisfaction  dealine for a one-acre lot purhchase with groundwater rights.

The city will be hearing a request for a zoning map of approximately 316 acres, located on the southeast corner of Verrado Way and Broadway Road. The zoning area will be asked to be changed from general commerce and planned community to light industrial for a project known as Verrado 310.

The council will also be hearing the Southwest Devlopemnt Agreement to terminate the development agreement. The landowners are reconsidering the existing use for light industrial and commercial uses, according to council documents. 

The site area is estimate to be 457 acres, located on Jackrabbit Trail and Broadway Road.
