A ticket worth $50,000 was purchased in Scottsdale for the Wednesday Powerball drawing, but all eyes are on Friday night’s Mega Millions jackpot that is approaching $1 billion, Arizona Lottery officials said.
The Scottsdale winner was sold at Albertsons, 2785 N. Scottsdale Road.
The estimated Mega Millions jackpot is $977 million with a cash option of $467 million, lottery officials said.
The Powerball jackpot remains at an estimated $750 million for Saturday night’s drawing – cash value, $360.8 million.
