Tempe police are looking for the suspect who shot a person overnight at Tempe Beach Park, authorities said Tuesday morning.

One person was hit and taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.

"At this time the suspect is still outstanding. This investigation is active," a Tempe Police Department release stated.

Tempe Beach Park is at Mill Avenue and Rio Salado Parkway.
