Phoenix police detectives are investigating a crash that ended in a 19-year-old man’s death and may be connected to a report of shooting near 61st Avenue and Fillmore Street.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred about 12:50 p.m. Feb. 29 in near 6700 W. Filmore St. Phoenix Fire Department personnel responded to extinguish a fire caused by the crash and found David Juarez, 19, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another man was taken to a local area hospital where he was treated for an injury.
Police said other calls linked the vehicle to the shooting, which occurred at a home in the area.
Police found evidence of a shooting, but no victims or suspects were found, authorities said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest, police said.
