Project Roots will be returning to the Downtown Phoenix Farmers Market in October and is in need of volunteers.
Project Roots was co-founded by Bridget Pettis and Arizona native Dionne Washington in 2019 along with Jessica Diamond. The 501(c)(3) community garden is located at 1200 W. Vineyard Road in Phoenix.
“We support our neighbors without homes and those that are food insecure by feeding the community from our local community gardens and mobile kitchen service,” the Project Roots website states.
Project Roots will return to the Downtown Phoenix Farmers Market on Saturday, Oct. 21. Residents can sign up here to volunteer with the organization at the farmers market.
The market is located at 720 N. 5th St., in Phoenix. It’s open from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. every Saturday through September and moves to winter hours 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. starting in October.
Project Roots is also offering delivery starting in October. Delivery fee may apply depending on where you live in the Valley.
