Peoria Unified School District students will benefit from purchases

Park West will host its inaugural Eat For Education fundraiser to benefit the Peoria Education Foundation.

The event takes place at participating restaurants and retailers throughout the center, located at 9744 W. Northern Ave., from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19.

When guests purchase something during the event at a participating restaurant or retailer, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Peoria Education Foundation. The nonprofit organization supports Peoria Unified School District.

“We are proud to partner with the Peoria Education Foundation to benefit the youth in our very community,” Kelly Price, Park West’s business development manager, shared in a press release. “And we are grateful for the generous residents in the community who are always eager to support our fundraising efforts.”

Participating businesses include: BJ’s Restaurant, Bully Brew Coffee, The Cabin, Candle Chemistry, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, Handel’s Ice Cream, Jalapeno Inferno, Kitchen Gourmet Plus, Mary’s Mountain Cookies, Pita Jungle, Sicilian Butcher, The Vig, Wildflower, and Yama Sushi.

To ensure proceeds from purchases benefit the cause, guests must present the printed or digital flyer (available at all participating restaurants and retailers prior to the event as well as via Park West’s social media pages and online).
