The Palo Verde Artist of the month for October is Dotti Peters.

Ms. Peters is originally from Pittsburgh, and moved to Arizona 49 years ago where she raised four children. Oil painting is her main passion, but she also enjoys working with charcoal and pastels.

Instructors Gar Witherspoon and Marcy Perrier have really helped to mold her personal technique. Some of her favorite topics to paint are landscapes, flowers and horses.

Ms. Peters sold paintings in northern California and New Jersey and has

received several ribbons at the annual Palo Verde Art Show. She enjoys taking classes at both the Palo Verde Artists and Artists by the Lake.

View Ms. Peter’s art in the showcase outside Palo Verde’s art room at the Sundial Recreation Center, 14801 N. 103 Ave., in Sun City. Membership in Palo Verde Artists is $10 per year and is open to RCSC cardholders only.
