A number of nonprofits serving the Gilbert community were among the 130 statewide agencies to receive financial support from Cox Communications.

Cox employees raised $637,810 and distributed those funds to state nonprofit community agencies focused on youth and education programs. Most of the funds come from employee-driven fundraisers and donations by Cox employees and their families.

Among those receiving money were:

  • Treasures 4 Teachers ($10,000)
  • Assistance League of the East Valley ($3,500)
  • Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank ($3,000)
  • Pawsitive Friendships ($2,800)

This marks the 27th year that Cox employees, through Cox Charities, have raised funds to help local communities. Since 1996, Cox Arizona employees have raised $10.5 million and awarded grants to 1,851 local Arizona nonprofits.
