No injuries reported in Tempe shooting incident at Democratic Party office

Tempe Police are investigating an incident after shots were fired on Sept. 23 at a Tempe campaign office for the Democratic Party.

AZFamily reported that police arrived at the scene near Southern Avenue and Priest Drive, where no one was hurt but the building did incur some damages from the shots. No one was in the office when the shooting took place.

Sean McEnerney, DNC Arizona’s coordinated campaign manager, told local media that several shots were fired at the Tempe office, thanking Tempe Police for coming to assist.

As no one was in the office, the incident is being investigated as a property crime. Tempe and Mesa safety officials are conducting the investigation. Anyone with information on this incident should contact the Tempe Police Department.
