The Arizona Department of Health Services reported the number of new weekly coronavirus cases in Litchfield Park 85340 was 46 over the week ending Friday, April 9, bringing the combined tally of in the ZIP code to 3,749.
That’s 44 more new weekly cases than reported by ADHS the week ending April 2 by ADHS.
The ZIP code includes the city of Litchfield Park and unincorporated Maricopa County. The state does not separate cases by incorporated and unincorporated areas.
Public health officials attributed a dramatic jump in new cases statewide to the addition of months-old cases not previously document as virus-related.
However, those cases were in Gila, Graham and Navajo counties, they said.
The agency said more than 90% of cases were mapped to the address of the patient’s residence:

As of April 7, 2,143,195 doses had been administered in Maricopa County. Of those, 1,291,466 were first dose, 843,477 were second dose and 8,252 were unknown.
In Litchfield Park 85340, 47.4% of the eligible population had received their first dose and 30.9% had received their second dose.
As of March 24, all residents ages 18 and older became eligible for the two-dose Moderna and one-dose Janssen (Johnson and Johnson) vaccines, and all residents 16 and older became eligible for the two-dose Pfizer vaccine.
