Posted

Scottsdale Desert Stages Theatre is raising the curtain on a new production.

The theatre, at Fashion Square, 7014 E. Camelback Road, Suite 586, Scottsdale, will present “5 Women Wearing the Same Dress,” from Friday, April 22 through Sunday, May 15.

In this comedy, set in the bedroom of the younger sister-of-the-bride, five women (all bridesmaids) and one man (an usher) find a quiet place, between the wedding and reception, and during the reception, to take their shoes off, complain about their dresses, and get high. These women discuss their lives, their differences and their common thoughts about the bride.

Shows start at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

The show, written by Alan Bell and directed by Deborah Lee Hall, is appropriate for ages 13 and up, according to Desert Stages.
