Mesa police investigate Sunday morning homicide

An investigation is underway in Mesa after a man’s body was found early Sunday morning with an apparent gunshot would, police said.

Police received a 911 call about 1 a.m. April 21 and arrived at Teton Circle and Recker Road to find the victim who was pronounced dead at the scene.

An initial investigation indicated it is a homicide and an isolated occurrence, police said.

The man’s name is being withheld until family members can be informed.
