Charles McClellan has been identified as the man shot to death Sunday night at a home in the 4700 block of East Elmwood, Mesa police said.

The 41-year-old was pronounced dead after police arrived at the shooting scene about 8 p.m. Sept. 15.

Mesa police officers have arrested 51-year-old Jason Greene in connection with his death.

Greene was booked into jail on one count of manslaughter, police said.

Police responded to the home after receiving several reports of a disturbance and possible shots fired. When officers arrived, they contacted Greene, who told officers he shot a man inside his home, police said.
