MCSO arrest man for marijuana grow in Peoria

Sheriff's deputies arrested a man for an illegal marijuana grown in Peoria, according to a release.

Maricopa County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to 22222 N. 89th Ave. in Peoria March 19 for a 911 call that a man was asking for help.


After deputies arrived at the residence and made a welfare check, they discovered what appeared to be a marijuana “grow” and found a man sleeping near it the in the garage. Deputies removed and detained three men from the property without incident, according to the release.males.

MCSO obtained a search warrant of the property, locating 105 grams of heroin, 350 grams of meth and 22 marijuana plants with an estimated street value of more than $22,000.

Deputies arrested Duane Bearden, 36, who admitted to having the marijuana plants. He will be booked into the 4th Avenue Jail on the following charges: cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana, sell of dangerous drugs, possession of dangerous drugs and weapon misconduct.
