A 32-year-old man has been indicted on 30 felony counts that include sexual assault, kidnapping, aggravated assault and theft, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office announced Friday.

James C. Estep was arrested last week in Tempe and remains in custody on a $500,000 cash-only bond, officials said.

MCAO officials said the alleged attacks on six victims occurred in Mesa and Tempe between September 2018 and August of this year.

“From the beginning, this case has been an extremely high priority for me,” Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell said.

“I look forward to holding this defendant accountable based on evidence gathered in the ongoing investigations conducted by Mesa and Tempe police departments.”
