Man dies after Sunday morning stabbing in Gilbert

Gilbert police are asking for help from witnesses in connection with the fatal stabbing Sunday morning of a 22-year-old man.

Police responded to a stabbing call about 1:15 a.m. June 18 at the southwest corner of North Ash Street and West Vaughn Avenue, where they found the man with multiple stab wounds.

The man, who has not been identified, was taken to a hospital where he died, police said.

Police have not identified a suspect in the stabbing except to say it was a man.

Witnesses are asked to contact the Gilbert Police Department at 480-503-6500 with any information.
