O'Connor: Biden bringing investment to Arizona

Posted

While Trump scurries around stashing National Security documents in bedroom, bathroom, and beyond, Biden is bringing investment to Arizona.

Off the top of my head, I can name several ongoing projects:

The TSMC semiconductor production facilities in north Phoenix, a project with built-in procedures for water recycling and extensive collaboration with local community colleges and universities.

A nearly sold-out industrial park in Pinal County, where companies that service the semiconductor industry or build electric vehicles will take advantage of nearby railroads for easy transportation of goods.

A battery cell factory in Buckeye that will produce EV batteries and create job training programs with local colleges and universities.

Nearly $30 million to install broadband in Colorado River communities so that rural Arizonans can finally have reliable access to the internet.

These projects are happening through the Bilateral Infrastructure Law, the CHIPS and Science Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act, all fought for and passed by the Biden administration. Republicans voted against almost all of it, but now they're trying to take credit for the jobs and benefits. Anyone surprised?

Remember those photos of Trump tooting the horn in his big-boy Tonka truck? I prefer the photos of Biden signing legislation.
