Crystal Daniels returned to her Laveen home after a night of displaying her clothing business at a show in Tempe.

The next morning, it was all gone.

Now, Ms. Daniels is hoping that someone may have seen the clothing, other items and trailer that comprised her pop-up style business, Designer Treasure Hunt.

On the night of April 25, someone stole 350 pieces of designer clothing, rolling racks and mirrors, along with a U-Haul trailer in the area of 35th Avenue and Baseline Road.

This story appeared in the Daily News-Sun May 2 edition. Subscribe to the DNS e-edition at http://dailynewssun.az.newsmemory.com/.

Ms. Daniels was home at the time, but did not hear the crime occur. She said the theft had to have taken place between 10:30 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day.

The clothing consists of more than 50 designer/name brands that are mostly women’s with some men’s items.

Crystal Daniels, left, has spent about three years getting her business, Designer Treasure Hunt, in order, only to see it stolen on the night of April 25. She estimates a loss of $15,000. (Submitted photo)

The trailer was attached to her vehicle, which was parked on a street outside her home. Unfortunately, she said, surveillance cameras were not available in the area where her vehicle was parked.

“This is a huge loss to me personally and a shock to our community at large,” Ms. Daniels said.

She estimates the items in the trailer totaled more than $15,000.

“I have been in a state of shock and disbelief that this happened,” she said. “I am so saddened that someone would do this. It is such a loss to me as I have been building this business for over three years.”

Ms. Daniels filed a police report with the Phoenix Police Department, which is investigating the incident.

However, she is also being proactive and searching for the items, including driving around to local garage sales and checking online sites such as OfferUp, 5miles and Craigslist.

“I did contact a couple of pawn shops and they said they don’t really deal with clothing,” Ms. Daniels said. “I also went to a couple of local Goodwills and informed the managers on duty in case they were to see a large amount of designer clothing come in as a donation.”

The U-Haul trailer has Florida license plate number GDX590 should anyone happen to see one in their vicinity.

A friend set up a Go-Fund Me account to help recoup some of Ms. Daniels’ losses from the theft. People can donate at www.gofundme.com/designer- treasure-hunt-fund.

“If you know Crystal Janke-Daniels you know what a selfless, giving, fashionable, and amazing woman she is,” Shannon Walker said on the page. “Crystal has a passion for making women feel and look beautiful! Let’s help my dear friend get back on her feet!”

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the trailer and/or its contents can contact Phoenix police at 602-262-6151.
