There was a very good informative letter to the editor about why Sen. Mark Kelly should not support a bill that would burden small businesses (“Bill would burden small businesses,” Daily Independent, Sept. 18, 2021).
These bills want to impose a new Small Business Investment Tax on private investments who during the pandemic helped support countless small employers and their employees. They helped a lot of small businesses from not shutting down permanently.
It looks like these types of taxes would only burden small businesses. Sen. Kelly, stand up for small businesses and oppose this tax!
